The City of Lake Macquarie runs from the edge of Newcastle in the north, through Cardiff, Glendale and Edgeworth, around both shores of the lake and down to Morisset and Swansea. Council is based at Speers Point. Lake Mac Libraries has eleven branches, from Cameron Park and Cardiff to Morisset and Swansea. Cardiff station has lifts to the platforms. The public emergency department at Belmont Hospital is open around the clock, while John Hunter Hospital is closer for the northern suburbs.
As a registered NDIS provider, Glenrock Support works right around the lake, from the suburbs near our Wallsend base to Morisset and Swansea. For NDIS Lake Macquarie support, you get two or three regular support workers who live close enough to turn up on time.
NDIS Lake Macquarie: our suburb pages
Four lake suburbs have their own page, with local services, drive times and common questions:
The rest of the lake north of that line is ours too, from Cardiff and Glendale to Cooranbong and Dora Creek. Living in Newcastle? See our NDIS Newcastle page.
What NDIS support can I get around the lake?
Mostly Core supports: personal care and daily living at home, with cleaning and household tasks as well when they are in your plan. To join a regular group or learn a skill, see increased social and community participation. We don't offer therapy, SIL, plan management, support coordination or overnight shifts.
